SO MANY SUP's OUT THERE!
Okay, you got a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard).  Did you know that per Coast Guard rules, if it is not operated within a surfing, swimming, or bathing area, it is considered a "VESSEL"?  Guess what, that means it is regulated like a vessel, and:

You are required to carry a PFD (if 13 or over) or WEAR IT (if under 13).
ALSO a whistle or other sound device is required.
AND, if after sunset, a flashlight is required.

ONLINE NAVIGATIONAL CLASS!
The Coast Guard Auxiliary, in partnership with the Boat US Foundation, has launched a new educational program for boaters, an online, self-study course called Modern Marine Navigation.  Boaters who enroll in this course will learn, using their own computers or tablets, in the comfort of their own homes. The cost is $40, but there is a 10% discount for using the promo code:  0953106
