Flotilla 31-6, 9th Western
District Ludington, Michigan
(formerly Flotilla 20-06)
The Ludington Auxiliary Meetings are held every second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Ludington Coast Guard Station.
The Public is always invited to
attend.
HEY, WHERE'S THE SNOW!
and
WHERE'S THE ICE?
But seriously, be VERY cautious going out on the ice. Your Coast Guard team has been out on Hamlin Lake practicing ice rescue techniques. They were wearing full "dry" suits and life vests. Probably that's not what you wear when you go ice fishing. Be sure to test the ice with a spud as you walk out. Walk single file, carry sharpened screwdrivers tied together with cord. Always have a long lenth of rope available.
BE SAFE OUT THERE!
